1. Did you know that in the first "national park" was created in this state in 1832? It wasn't until 1921 that it officially became one which was almost 50 years after the first actual one.

2. Going at 1,288 m (4,226 ft) this state is home to the longest bridge

in North America that is reserved only for pedestrians and bicycle traffic.

3. This state is home to the THREE largest diamonds ever found in the United States.

4. This is home to the world's only diamond mine which is open to the public.

Not only that but they can keep any gemstones they find regardless of the value.

5. Standing at 20m (66ft) tall, this state is home to the tallest

Jesus statue in North America (3rd tallest in the world).

6. Until 2005 in the same city this state also was home to one of the

world's largest dinosaur park spanning across 65 acres (260,000 sq. m).

7. If you love cheese dip, you'd be happy to know that not only was it first made

in this state is but it's capital city is home to the World Cheese Dip Championship.

8. This state's name means comes from the name given to the Native American tribe living in the area with name meaning "south wind".

9. Funnily enough although this state shares a name with a neighboring river

depending where you are the pronunciation of the later may be different.

10. This state is home to one of a rather unique mountain

range that goes from East to West rather than North to South.
