1. Have you ever wondered what a tidal whirlpool looks like? With a tidal range of 20 ft

(6 m) you can find the biggest one in the Western Hemisphere of the coast of this state.

2. This state is home to the world's tallest bridge observatory at 420 ft (128 m) tall.

3. Interestingly enough its the only state whose tallest building as a place of worship. At 235 ft (72 m) high, this state's highest building is actually a church.

4. It also has the unique distinction that it's the only state flower that doesn't actually bloom.

5. However this state is home to the most wild blueberries grown in the WORLD.

6. If you like living in the woods this state is very likely for you as it is the most forested one with forests covering almost 89% of its surface area.

7. Interestingly enough this state is home to a "desert". Although it doesn't technically count as such, it does have an area of 40 acres (0.06 sq. mile or 0.16 sq. km) of barren glacial sand.

8. Believe it or not, this state's oldest lighthouse is the most popular and photographed one in the world.

9. This state is home to the world's only international cryptozoology museum.

10. Spanning across 48,000 acres (194 sq. km or 75 sq. miles), this state is home to the only national park located in the north east of the United States.
