Where am I? - United States Part 1

1. Did you know that this state is the location of the largest raptor ever unearthed?

In fact this state is the only one to have a dinosaur named after it.

2. Due to this state's high elevation and desert-like climate,  the snow here is dry

and powdery leaving this state to claim to have the "Greatest Snow on Earth".

3. This state is home to the third most national parks (5) in the United States as well

as the United States biggest natural bridge, 84m (275 ft wide and 75m (246 ft) high

4. It is the only state where each of its counties is part of a national forest.

5. Here you will also find the US largest national monument (in the lower

48 states) which is almost 1.9 million acres (7689 sq. km or 2969 sq. mile)

6. Believe it or not, this state also contains one of the largest

single living organism weighing nearly 6,000 tons (or 13 million lbs)

and spanning over 106 acres (0.42 sq. km or 0.17 sq. mile).

7. This state also contains the largest and deepest open pit mine in the

world: 1,200 m (3,900 ft) deep and 9 sq. km (3.475 sq. miles) wide.

8. This state is tied for the highest difference between its

hottest temperature (118ºF / 48ºC) and its lowest (-69ºF / -56ºC).

9. In addition to being home of one of the largest salt flats in the world, which

spans over 30,000 acres (121 sq. km or 47 sq. miles) as well as one of the world's

largest salt lake in the world. (1,700 sq. miles, 4,400 sq. km or 1 million acres)

10. This state's name comes from the local tribe whose name translate to "people of the mountains”
